Sky News launch an anti-plastic, sustainable fishing Ocean Rescue campaign

Sky News has launched a campaign to clean up the oceans with the support of Prince Charles. It is targeting the dumping of plastics and is calling on consumers only to buy sustainable fish.

A spokesman for the satellite television channel said:  'We want to use our voice as Europe’s leading entertainment company and the potential of our reach to inspire people to take action to protect our planet. We choose big, global issues that matter to our customers and to inspire people to make a real difference.

'We’ll bring to life our amazing ocean for millions of people across Europe. We’ll bring the issues of ocean health to life and discuss the solutions. Sky News will take the lead by airing a special one-hour documentary showing how plastics are affecting our oceans. Through the campaign we will explore the different ways people can help to make a difference and will aim to inspire people to take action.'
