As if we weren't already holding our breaths for Sir David Attenborough's much anticipated Blue Planet II, the BBC has added to the suspense with the latest trailer for the new series.

Divers around the world will be familiar with the giant trevally (Caranx ignobilis) as one of the largest and fastest predatory fish in the oceans that isn't a member of the shark family. Growing over 1.5m in length and weighing in at up to 80 kg, the key phrase there is 'in the oceans', not – as this incredible footage shows – leaping from the water to capture birds in flight.

The first episode airs in the UK on BBC1 at 8pm this Sunday, 29 October.
