Winning Photos: Sharks and Dolphins
ScubaShooters.net is a new website specialising in sharing the work of underwater photographers around the world. Part forum, part gallery, the site hosts almost 10,000 underwater photos, searchable by species - a useful tool for photographers or divers looking for fish IDs.
The site holds a bimonthly photo competition for it's members with prizes including kit and dive vouchers from dive centres around the world. Last month the competition's theme was 'sharks and dolphins'.
First prize was won by Allen Walker for this black-and-white photo, 'Just Cruising'.
Second prize went to Michael Weberberger for 'Silk Shark'.
And third place was awarded to Mike Ellis for 'Dolphins'.
The website is run by underwater photographer Marino Palla and the competition judges are Henry Jager, Roland Back and Davide Lopresti.
This month the theme is 'Marine Environment'. If you have a great photo and want to enter the competition, go to ScubaShooters.net's Facebook group at
