Short Film: Black And White

Dustin Adamson's short film Black And White sheds light on the threats manta ray populations face today

In just five minutes, Adamson captures his audience with beauiful black and white footage of giant mantas and calls on viewers to speak up for their protection.

Manta rays are being targeted by fishermen for their gill rakers which are said to have medical benefits according to traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. None of these claims has been supported by science, yet the demand for manta gills has risen dramatically in the last 10 years and populations are in decline.

'Manta Rays are one of the Oceans gentle giants. Their grace in the water is unmatched,' Adamson's video description reads.
