The Latest, Even More Rugged Version of the Paralenz Action Camera
Based on feedback from divers all over the world, Paralenz has released an upgraded version of its underwater action camera - the Paralenz Plus.
The Danish company has a dedicated community of divers, with a constant stream of videos being uploaded to its Paralenz World Facebook page. In keeping with the camera's original development process, which included trials by over 250 divers from around the world, Paralenz has taken feedback from users of the camera to add features, change packaging and develop new accessories.
Using that feedback, the entire exterior of the camera has been upgraded to make it even more rugged. The end cap, which was plastic in the original model, has been replaced with a component that is CNC machined from a single block of extremely strong aerospace grade aluminium, the same material used for the rest of the camera's body which has increased the depth rating of the Paralenz from 200m to 250m. Every part of the camera has received a more corrosion-resistant surface, the screws holding it together are now machined from titanium, and the design of the selector ring has been improved to make it simpler and exclude smaller parts.
- Increased depth rating of 250m / 820 ft.
- All aluminium used has been upgraded to aerospace-grade
- Screws are now made of titanium
- New end-cap is CNC milled from aluminum with a scratch-resistant glass window.
- Better anodizing of all parts for a more scratch resistant surface.
- Improved 'screw-less' selector ring.
The Paralenz Dive Camera+ can be purchased at Paralenz resellers or www.paralenz.com from 16 July in North America, Europe, and Australia.
