Featured Photographer | Olga Torrey
Originally from the eastern region of the Ural Mountains in Siberia, Russia, Olga Torrey has been living in New York City for the past 27 years. She has a college honour degree in physical education and worked as a gym teacher, athletic director, and owner of a fitness centre back in the former USSR. She is also a fine artist and Life Member of the Art Students League of New York.
Olga spends as much time underwater as possible. She has taken her talent as a fine artist and applied her skills to photography both above and below the water. She discovered scuba diving in 2008 and purchased her first simple underwater camera in 2009. When not underwater Olga has a passion for documenting NYC.
Olga has taken underwater photographs from Papua New Guinea to the Arctic. She has been published in InVetrum, X-Ray Magazine, Northeast Dive News, Sports Diver and The Ultimate Depth. In 2017, she was a DivePhotoGuide.com Photographer of the Week.
