Ralph Paprzycki

Ralph Paprzycki did his Open Water course more than 30 years ago but didn’t properly start diving again until 2014, on a trip to Little Corn Island in Nicaragua. A keen travel, landscape, and wildlife photographer, he was determined to pursue his hobby below the waves as well and hasn’t looked back since. What he loves most about underwater photography is that there is always something new to learn and discover: new dive sites, new creatures, new photography techniques. His greatest love is diving with sharks – hammerheads and whale sharks in the Galápagos, blue sharks in the Azores, mako sharks in Baja California –, although he recently also discovered the joys of photographing the little critters like blennies and nudibranchs. Originally from Germany, he lives in the UK but increasingly spends his time in California, where his wife is from.
