Featured Photographer | Marko Perisic
My name is Marko Perisic, an Australian underwater photographer and divemaster.
I'm currently living in The Netherlands, but am originally from Western Australia. My passion for the ocean was sparked at an early age by my father, after spending lots of time in the water with him. This led to me starting to scuba dive from a young age and eventually qualifying to be a divemaster in Australia, what feels like over 5000+ dives ago now.
I mostly dive at the Den Osse dive site in Zeeland, The Netherlands. It's a shore dive with great facilities and such a diverse range of marine life inhabiting the area. Especially the Atlantic bobtail squid (Sepiola atlantica) of which I have been lucky enough to witness fascinating behaviours. If I had to pick some exceptional places to dive, I'd say Ningaloo Exmouth Navy Pier in Western Australia and the Red Sea, as you have the wrecks in the north with Ras Mohammed, and you have the beautiful coral reefs in the south. Truly a Wonderful place.
Currently, I shoot on an Olympus OMD-5 with an Olympus M Zuiko 60mm lens and a Panasonic fish eye. With my photography, I'd like to highlight the importance of the oceans and show the beauty beneath the surface.
