Robin Hood Watersports Unique Drysuits for the Individual Diver
Robin Hood Watersports, established in 1981, has grown from its humble beginnings of 'Bob's Garage' to become one of the largest specialist watersports outlets in the UK.
Located in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, Robin Hood's fully stocked showroom offers a range of kit from all the major scuba diving brands such as Apeks, Aqualung, Scubapro, Mares, Fourth Element and X-Deep, plus many more. The wide range of available gear means that divers will be able to find something to suit whatever their budget and skill level might be. An onsite heated pool gives divers the opportunity to 'try before they buy', particularly important with equipment in which there are many variations available, such as fins and BCDs.
Along with equipment sales, Robin Hood Watersports also offers full equipment service facilities onsite – everything from regulator servicing to cylinder testing. The dive school offers PADI courses from two-hour entry-level try-dives (DSDs) up to Divemaster, plus a range of tech diving courses. With the availability of the onsite heated pool, courses can be planned to suit the student diver's timetable.
Located above the shop floor is the manufacturing department, where Robin Hood makes its own line of ROHO made-to-measure drysuits, custom fitted to all divers, for all diving conditions. The benchmark 'Commercial' suit is tried and tested by professionals in the most demanding arenas of diving, and its high-tenacity fabric is suitable for both commercial and leisure usage. The extra comfortable ‘X-Flex’ range has also proven to be very popular. The ‘X-Flex Tech’ is constructed with Cordura across the arms and chest for extra durability, and the ‘X-Flex Light’ is a lightweight drysuit aimed at the globe-trotting divers. The new ‘X-Flex Solo’ features a front entry telescopic suit for the easiest of doffing and donning, and combined with a pair of technical pockets is perfectly suited to tech divers.
All ROHO dry suits for men, women and children are made to measure for no extra cost. The ROHO team is also available to help customise the suit with regards to size, colour and accessories for unique and original designs. After all, no two divers are the same, so why should their suits be!
Robin Hood Watersports offers much more than just dive equipment. The store also carries full ranges of equipment for windsurfing, surfing, kayaking, canoeing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddleboarding and snowboarding. The instore watersports team is always available to offer advice and ensure that watersports enthusiasts purchase the most appropriate equipment to match their needs, skill set, and budget.
