Artists Createst Hyperreal Ocean Drawings
Artist Zaria Forman addresses the impacts of climate change with captivating hyperreal drawings of the world's oceans
In recent years, the American artist has focussed on documenting the changing landscapes of the Artic and other areas impacted by climate change.
Her work has taken her to Greenland in 2012 and to the Maldives a year later in an attempt to connect the dots between melting sea ice in the Arctic and the threat rising sea levels pose to the lowest-lying country in the world.
Forman captures landscapes in photographs from which she selects the most well-composed images for her large-scale pastel drawings.
Her work is on exhibit until 17 October at the Winston Wächter Fine Art gallery in New York City.
