Cousteau Appeal for 3D Film
The Cousteau family has launched a crowd-funding campaign to support a 90-minute, 3D film celebrating the oceans. The family want Odyssea 3D to be ready in time for the Cannes Film Festival in May as a tribute to Jacques Cousteau who won a Gold Palm at the festival sixty years go for The Silent World.
Odyssea 3D is directed by Jacques' son Jean Micheal and his children Fabian and Céline joined during the three years spent filming everything from great hammerheads to Christmas tree worms.
The Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign is to raise $300,000 to complete post-production (editing, music, sound effects, narration, and final 3D rendering). Donors can become an executive producer and be named in the credits ($10,000) or receive a T-shirt ($30).
