The British Antarctic Survey is looking for a Field Dive Officer for the Rothera Station in Antarctica

The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), part of the Natural Environment Research Council, aims to undertake a world-class programme of scientific research, and to sustain for the UK an active and influential regional presence and a leadership role in Antarctic affairs.
We are looking to appoint a Field Dive Officer to undertake diving in support of science. The FDO is responsible for the supervision and organisation of all diving activities at and out of Rothera Station. All requests for diving are made through the FDO and the FDO must be present on site whenever a dive takes place.
Qualifications: HSE Scuba (or HSE approved equivalent)
Duration: 18 Month Fixed Term Appointment
Salary: £23,937 per annum, rising annually. Additionally, upon completion of a successful tour, you will receive a 10% bonus. BAS provides all training required, outdoor and work clothing, tools, and accommodation (whilst in the Antarctic).
