Dive Tech Grand Cayman World Record Attempt for Women's Dive Day 2018
To celebrate Women's Dive Day 2018, to be held this year on 21 July, Grand Cayman's Divetech is planning to set a new world record.
The event will take place at Divetech's shore diving site Lighthouse Point, with the ambition to create the world record for 'longest female underwater human chain'.
As well as the world record attempt, the charitable event will raise money for the Cayman Islands Breast Cancer Foundation as well as raising awareness for women in diving globally, across all disciplines including recreational, technical and freediving.
Divetech’s owner Joanna Mikutowicz has a long-standing history flying the flag for women in diving, with - in her words - a 'passion for all things pink', creating a 'female force to be reckoned with' in a tech diving centre, proving that lady divers can be 'both feminine and respected industry leaders.'
