DIVE contributor and underwater photographer Franco Banfi went on a trip to explore the world's deepest pool

Since it's opening earlier this year divers have flocked to the 40m-deep pool, situated within the Terme Millepini complex, near Padua, Italy. Training courses for scuba divers, freedivers and underwater photographers and filmmakers run on a regular basis. An artificial underwater cave system even gives technical divers an opprtunity to practise their skills.
