We are nearly halfway through the voting period for our Travel Awards 2017 with Indonesia just out in front for the Destination category, Atmosphere in Dauin, the Philippines, ahead in the Resort category and blue horizon and Sea Hunter joint leaders in the Liveaboard category.
Komodo is one of Indonesia's top dive spots
You can still get your favourites onto the ballot sheet – any resort, liveaboard or destination for which we receive more email nominations than the current lowest in the category will replace the bottom runners.
But hurry at the end of August we are stopping nominations and only the top 15 in each category will be left on the ballot papers – there are currently 26 nominations in both Resorts and Destinations and 22 in Liveaboards.
Indonesia, last year's winner, has nearly 18 per cent of votes cast in the Destinations category with the Azores as a close runner-up with 17 per cent of the votes. They are followed by the Philippines in third (12%), Maldives fourth (6.5%) and Egypt/Red Sea in fifth (6%).
Atmosphere in Dauin is a five-star resort
There is a clear leader in the Resort category with Atmosphere in Dauin, the Philippines, holding 13 per cent, followed by Siladan in Sulawesi, Indonesia with 11 per cent. Oblu in the Maldives is third (8%), Misool in Rajas Ampat, Indonesia fourth (6%) and in joint fifth Lembeh in Sulawesi and Blue Corner in Bali (both with 6%).
The Liveaboards category is far closer with the joint leaders - blue horizon and Sea Hunter - both on 6.3%, followed by Galápagos Master (5.77%), Sulu Sea (5.51%) and joint fifth Emperor Superior and the Odyessy (5.25%).
Undersea Hunter in Cocos Island is a liveaboard with its own submersible
