Aggressor Fleet Launch New Red Sea Liveaboard
The Aggressor Fleet has announced the launch of their new liveaboard yacht, the Red Sea Aggressor II, which will begin its exploration of the northern Red Sea starting in July 2018.
The liveaboard will sail from the New Hurghada Marina which includes shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, and head towards the famous national parks of Ras Mohamed and the Strait of Tiran, famous for their clear water, breath-taking array of corals, and immense diversity of marine life, from macro to pelagic, over 20 per cent of which are endemic to the Red Sea.
The Red Sea has long been a premier destination for scuba diving, and now the new Red Sea Aggressor II liveaboard yacht will provide divers with access to the northern reefs and wrecks. Historic ships such as the SS Thistlegorm and Rosalie Moller will be on the itineraries, as well as the famous wrecks of Sha'ab Abu Nuhas, including the Carnatic and Giannis D.
Ras Mohamed National Park is renowned for its pristine coral reefs, massive pinnacles, and abundant marine life, including several different species of shark. The Strait of Tiran, the narrow sea passages between the Egyptian Sinai peninsula and Saudi Arabia which form the entrance to the Gulf of Aqaba, are home to the island reefs of Gordon, Thomas, Woodhouse and Jackson, named after the British cartographers who first charted the area, and world famous for their diversity of coral and the chance to meet larger pelagics.
The dive sites, with their crystal clear water, are an inspiration for photographers and marine naturalists. Aggressor Fleet CEO Wayne Brown says: 'Aggressor Fleet is extremely excited to add another Red Sea itinerary for our guests. The Red Sea Aggressor II offers the endemic species and fascinating wrecks that the northern Red Sea is famous for. I cannot wait to get onboard myself!'
