Stacy is a transgender model and PADI certified divemaster from Cebu, The Philippines. Having started her career in the BPO industry, followed by many years of participating in pageants and ramp modelling for top fashion designers in the Philippines and India, it wasn't until 2018 in Malapascua when she took her first breath underwater, at the urging of her partner who is an avid diver. Afterwards, she completed her certification and quickly became a divemaster.
Having done most of her early diving in Puerto Galera, Anilao and Cebu, Stacy quickly fell in love with the macro life in her own country. Bizarre, intricate, and inexplicable – yet so much detail and colour. After receiving the just-out Olympus TG6 for her birthday back in 2019, her obsession for capturing these bizarre micro critters began.
Since then it has been a constant delight for her to spot, line up, capture and then edit the images. Despite what people say about the rule of thirds, diagonals, negative space, Stacy believes it is the critter that drives the picture, ensuring that every picture she presents post-edit showcases the subject in all its colour and splendour.
Having only spent shooting underwater photography for around a year, Stacy has been fortunate enough to shoot all over Asia and across the globe and the lockdown has given more time at the editing desk to bring out the best in each picture.
