Top of the range G-Shock for divers with depth gauge and compass
This is a hardcore time piece pitched at the professional diving market.
The GWF-D1000, part of the G-Shock's Frogman Series, comes with a new depth function that measures depth down to 80m in 10cm increments; a thermometer function which measures water temperature in 0.1 degree Celsius increments; and a compass bearing function, which features auto horizontal compensation, and measures bearing in one degree increments.
It also includes a tide graph that displays high and low tides and a log memory function. It is shock proof and water resistance to 200m.
All this comes in a rugged body and it has been designed to be used while wearing diving gloves.
But is doesn't come cheap - £800.
The first distinctive looking G-Shock watch was built by Casio back in 1983 and was a schoolboy essential - more than 100 million were sold in more than 100 countries. The premium range (£300+) was launched in 2011.
