Fijian Resort Offers Submersible Dive
A Fijian private island resort is the world's first to add a Deep Flight Super Falcon submersible experience to their exclusive list of activities
For $2,000 per hour, guests of the Laucala Island resort can book the high-tech underwater craft to explore Fiji's waters. At 2.7m-long wingspan the Hawkes Ocean Technologies' two–person winged submersible reaches depths of up to 120m and speeds of up to six knots. The design allows for a 360 degree view of Fiji's reefs and marine life.
'We are excited to offer yet another exclusive and authentic experience to our guests with the new submersible,' said Laucala Island General Manager Andrew Thomson. 'The guest experience at Laucala is all about the ultimate immersion with nature and the island itself – this experience helps bring them even closer to that goal. The waters off of Laucala Island, Fiji are the most amazing in the world, and we are confident this “only at Laucala” experience is one that guests will never forget.'
